Madeline Hahn
As Coras grandmother I knew there was something more that had to be done to help other children with Cerebral Palsy and rare genetic disorders. This is a lifetime challenge not a quick fix. Cora is the face for our foundation and our bright light everyday that reminds us how precious each child is and our desire to help.

I was born and raised in Kern County. I have been employed at Local Lenders Group since 2005 as a partner and loan officer. My husband Michael and I were married just after high school and have two children, Jordan and Garrett. I became friends with the Pettit Family and Cora grew a special place in my heart. Madeline Hahn, Cora's grandmother asked if I would be willing to be involved with the foundation. I did not hesitate. I believe a child is a gift and deserve the chance to be their best version of themselves.

I am originally from Ojai, California. My Husband Dave and I moved to Orange County where I worked for CIGNA Health for a short period of time until we started our manufacturing company GWC Valve Company in 1987. We decided to move to Bakersfield to grow our business and to be closer to family. We have three children that we've raised here and now are enjoying our six grandchildren. We have recently retired and are now enjoying our travels, golf and time with family and friends. I met Maddie Hahn in 1999 our kids attended the same high school and our friendship grew close over the years. When I was asked to be on the board, I felt honored to be a part of it and to help in any way possible. I really didn't know much about Cerebral Palsy and didn't realize all the needs and financial responsibilities that went along with it. In helping the families we've been able to help since we started the foundation has truly touched my heart even though I personally have not met the child or family. I feel like I know them from reading about the child and their struggles. I would love to see our foundation grow throughout the states and even into other countries. The need is far and wide and we are just getting started!

I was born and raised in Bakersfield, California and currently live there with my partner Mike and our dogs. I have two grown children and three grandchildren. Along with being an author and entrepreneur, I am the founder of Kooke, a wholesale gourmet cookie and brownie company serving Central California. I also wrote the children's book, "Grey the Dog" and I’m in creative collaboration to write five more to complete a series. I serve on the Bulldog Foundation Board that raises money for athletic scholarships for Fresno State College athletes. I have volunteered in many roles, one of which was fundraising and organizing donations of pajamas and books for children in need. My heart is with underprivileged children, and I was drawn to the Pajama Program to help children feel some stability through reading and having nice pajamas for bedtime. Walking with Cora was a natural fit for me, I enjoy advocating for those that work so hard to overcome life’s adversities.
